Daily mountain weather forecasts for the Scottish English and Welsh

mountains
MWIS currently produce forecasts for 8 different mountain areas of the UK as

an aid to mountain safety.

These forecasts are now viewed by 2.3 million visitors to our website a

year, and can be read on the appropriate webpage, downloaded as a printable

PDF, or accessed via internet enabled mobile phone.

We now produce all 8 of our forecasts 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. The

Peak District forecast has been expanded to include the Yorkshire Dales

National Park and the area immediately between both parks.

The production of the Scottish forecasts is fully funded by the Scottish

Government through sportscotland with the support of The Mountaineering

Council of Scotland.
